Job Title: Management Analyst

Employer: Morning Sun Bus Company, Inc.

Location: Boston, Massachusetts 02111 (Incidental domestic travel to Rockland, MA 02370 on an as needed basis)

Job Description::

• Analyze and advise on improvements for management structure of Company’s day-to-day operations. Daily operations include addressing customer satisfaction issues, staffing and scheduling all trips, managing the sales team, addressing problems presented by staff members, and ensuring the quality of all trips. Forecast any problems that may arise in operations, strategize how to prevent them, and evaluate how changes to management structure can mitigate or better solve issues that do occur by drafting responsive plans supported by data collected from available industry reports, public information, and other resources. Spearhead the necessary changes to ensure smooth operation in all areas.

• Implement any changes to management structure by re-designing systems, procedures, protocols, and work flows.

• Assess Company’s performance in all areas of operations, including the efficiency and effectiveness of each department.

• Working with sales team, plan and implement targeted outreach effort to different tourist populations/demographics through helping develop content and approaches of marketing campaigns.

• Draft, develop and implement annual business plan each year. This business plan will outline realistic, aggressive goals for financial growth, identify target areas for expansion, and detail strategies for maintaining high occupancy year-round.

• Draft and prepare year-end reports on management successes and shortfalls within sales department, tour operator department, marketing department, IT department, and overall customer relations across the organization. Report will be presented to the C-suite executives of Company.

• Collect and analyze information on trends in the tourism industry to remain up to date on industry practices. A comprehensive analysis of current and anticipated changes in industry challenges and opportunities is critical to anticipating and preventing any challenges to the Company’s operations nationally and internationally. Will recommend and implement shifts in business operations in response to changes in visa policies, regulatory requirements, market shifts, and traveler practices and expressed wants.

• Use decision modelling to evaluate optimal analytical tools to track industry pricing and the latest transportation-related applications.


Required Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or closely related field (foreign equivalent is acceptable) Required Professional Experience: 1year of professional experience in assisting with management of major department of a business that deals with customer relations – such as sales department, marketing department, advertising department,or customer service department.

 

Required knowledge and experience must include:

• Advanced knowledge of marketing and financial management;

• At least 1 year of demonstrated professional experience designing, developing, and implementing plans to establish and cultivate improved customer relationships in a sales, marketing, advertising, or customer service context;

• At least 1 year of demonstrated professional experience analyzing different customer populations and demographics;

• At least 1 year of demonstrated professional experience designing, developing, and implementing a major campaign in a sales, marketing, advertising, or customer service context;

• At least 1 year of demonstrated professional experience being primarily responsible for an essential component of the operations of a business
